About CDHA
The Chattanooga Dental Hygienists’ Association is the local chapter of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association. CDHA includes the following Counties – Bledsoe, Bradley, Grundy, Hamilton, Marion, Meigs, McMinn, Polk, Rhea, Sequatchie, and Van Buren.
The The Chattanooga Dental Hygienists' Association is managed by a dedicated group of volunteers. These volunteers give of their time and expertise to advance the Dental Hygiene profession in the Chattanooga Area.
CDHA holds continuing education seminars September through May of each year. Each seminar offers a different topic and speaker. Meetings are free for ADHA members and $25.00 for non ADHA members. These mini seminars are great for keeping up to date on information relating to dental hygiene, meeting your dental hygiene peers and catching up with old friends. So check the calendar of events for the next CDHA meeting.
Letter from our CDHA President
Hi, Friends!
My name is Mollie McClelland, I am an enthusiastic, compassionate, and diligent dental hygienist. I received my undergraduate degree in elementary education in 2007. I graduated from Chattanooga State Community College in ‘21 with an associate degree and certificate in Dental Assisting. In ‘23, I graduated summa cum laude with my associates in Dental Hygiene. While at Chatt State, I served as class president for both dental assisting and dental hygiene classes. I sat on the student representation panel for the hygiene program’s CODA accreditation renewal visit. While in the program, I received the Leadership Award and the Sigma Phi Alpha National DH Honor Society Award. I am currently a hygienist at a general practice office in East Brainerd.
I am very excited to serve as this year’s CDHA president. I view the local chapter as the foundation of advocacy for our dental hygiene profession. I hope my service will impact the hygiene community at the local level and beyond and encourage other hygienists to be optimal in their profession.
Outside of working in the dental community, I am a wife of 16 years to Jonathan and mother to Bennett (14), Aubrie (13), and Everett (8). I live on breakfast food and good bbq, love to sing in my church choir, and have quotes from The Office and Home Alone at the ready for any occasion.
